Being a Friend of the Apostles is easy and very rewarding – just follow (to the best of your abilities and your situation) the statutes for the Friends group. The most important of these: to dedicate yourself to 30 minutes of meditative prayer a day, (with the goal of improving day by day), to pray for the Apostles and their intentions, and to spend time in Thanksgiving at least 10 minutes after receiving the Eucharist.
There are no extra meetings to attend (unless you want to), no extraordinary duties to perform, and no dues to pay. The main thing is: Prayer.
Being a prayerful person brings much joy into your life and to everyone around you. When you improve (become more patient, more loving. more gentile, more giving, and more in love with Christ), you bring that improvement to all you meet and to your whole family.
There are many benefits to being a Friend of the Apostles of Interior Life – not only do you get on the road to personal sainthood, but you are introduced to wonderful reading material like the In Conversation with God by Ferdinand Fernandez, discover more and more the wonders of the Church, and you have the most fantastic people praying for you and with you.
The spiritual bond between all those who love the Apostles is real, even if it cannot be touched. Just like the Body of Christ, the Friends Group for the Apostles of the Interior Life form an intimate spiritual bond – we pray for each other, and give each other strength. It is a wondrous thing that people from all over the United States and the world are praying on behalf of the Apostles. And the Apostles pray for our intentions and us. It is a circle of prayer that is loving, generous, and complete.
Joining is easy – just send us the following information: your name, address, telephone, e-mail address, and the church community you belong to. And remember to pray everyday!
Yours in Christ+,
