    Our Journey to the Truth

The center of the spirituality of the Apostles of the Interior Life is Christ the Priest, sent from the Father to be a mediator that again leads humanity to communion with Him in the Holy Spirit. Imitating Christ (in His being the High Priest) means for them to do what the first Apostles did: to dedicate themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word (see Acts 7:4). There is neither a desire nor claim for the members of the female branch to become ordained priests. The charism actually brings to fulfillment the truth clearly recalled by the Second Vatican Council: the entire baptized share the common priesthood.

The evangelical episode that inspires the community is Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well (Jn 4). The Apostles of the Interior life want to realize their specific vocation (that finds its roots in a priestly spirituality) by means of meeting directly with the brethren to announce to them Jesus Christ The Way, The Truth and The Life. They want to help them to discover Him as the "spring of water that wells up to eternal life" (Jn 4: 14).
