The Sisters of the Apostles of the Interior Life have had a huge impact on my life.  The first time I saw them was on Life on the Rock on EWTN.  I was intrigued by the apostolate of their order, which is giving spiritual assistance through spiritual direction and formation. Also, I was attracted by their joy and their apparent love for Christ.  So much so, that I felt compelled to email them and have kept in contact ever since.

When the sisters were asked to come to the University of Illinois Newman Center, I made the decision to visit them.  Once again, I was struck by their loving, joyful, down-to-earth ways.  These holy women truly radiated Christ and I wanted what they had! With the help of Sr. Susan, I am still working on that.  She is my spiritual director, and she has helped me immensely with my prayer life, emphasizing the importance and value of prayer and a daily meditation.  I have also come to realize that we are all to strive for holiness and that sanctity is for everyone!

I am not alone in my feelings about them.  I have witnessed first-hand the positive effect they have had on my family members, friends and college students.  There is no question that God has entrusted them with a mission and has given them the grace to fulfill it.  They, in turn, are sharing this grace with others.

Given the current crises in the Church and the world today, the need for their order is obvious.  Our Lord has now blessed us with the beginnings of the male branch, which will give us priests charged with the same apostolate.  Please pray for these holy, dedicated young men and women, and for the growth of their order, so that they can continue their work in helping the faithful recover the practice of prayer.  They really are apostles of the interior life.
